Edmund has over 30 years’ experience in the public accounting profession in Hong Kong, PRC and Australia. He developed his career in the Assurance and Advisory Services Division in one of the Big 4 accounting firms for over 9 years in its Hong Kong and PRC offices. He then joined another chartered firm in Sydney, Australia as a senior manager for audit and Australian tax compliance. He returned to Hong Kong and joined us in 2002.
Edmund specializes in assurance and technical consultancy for listed entities, tax and management consultancy, internal audit, training and professional development for clients and staff and the public.
Yam Tak Fai Ronald
Partner, Audit and Assurance
RSM Hong Kong
Ronald is a partner at RSM Hong Kong, specializing in auditing, taxation and management consultancy with 45 years of experience in the accounting industry. He began his career at M.K. Yam & Co, his father’s accounting firm in 1977 and became a Partner of the firm in 1987. Ronald later served as a Partner at Lai & Fan, Sothertons in 1996 when the two firms merged and a Partner at RSM Hong Kong in 1999 following the merger between Lai & Fan, Sothertons and RSM Hong Kong.
Ronald has served as the partner-in-charge on several Initial Public Offering exercises in Hong Kong. He has extensive experience in providing auditing and financial advisory services to listed and private clients in a wide range of industries. Ronald had also been engaged in handling tax investigation assignments in the past.

Andy is currently the IPO leader and China and Hong Kong Business Leader of SW Hong Kong. He is also the member of Risk Management Committee of SW Group. He has 32 years of experience in assurance and business advisory services and considerable international and Mainland China working experience. He leads various projects in restructuring, business merger and acquisition, financial due diligence as well as audits and IPOs of listed companies in a wide range of industries. In the past ten years, Andy had successfully assisted 13 Mainland China and HK enterprises successfully listed on the HKEX.

Nominations will be deliberated by a judging committee based on the judging criteria.

Eligible companies may submit a maximum of three (3) nomination entries.

Only one company per industry category will be hailed as a winner.

Nominations and supporting documents will be accepted until 14 June 2024.

ELIGIBILITY

The awards programme is open to all homegrown companies in Hong Kong currently headquartered in the country.

Eligible companies may nominate any initiatives that highlight the excellent work of the company such as:
✔ outstanding project or service launched for or with a client
✔ innovative internal practices or strategies

The initiative must have been launched or had upgrades, in part or in full, in the last 24 calendar months.
Note:
Companies in the following industries are not eligible to join the Awards Programme: cryptocurrency, tobacco, multilevel marketing, and products with claim of health benefits

- The Excellence Award recognizes a company's outstanding achievements in various areas that contribute to its overall success and reputation. This category is open to businesses that have demonstrated exceptional performance and excellence in multiple facets of their operations, such as marketing, branding, customer service, and corporate social responsibility. Companies eligible for this award are those that have consistently maintained high standards and have made significant contributions to their industry and the community.
- This award pertains to a company's comprehensive accomplishments, track record of success, and its standing as a frontrunner within its industry.
- Initiative Award
- The Initiative Award celebrates businesses that have taken proactive steps to address pressing challenges, seize opportunities, and demonstrate a forward-thinking approach. This category recognises companies that have launched innovative projects or initiatives to improve their operations, adapt to changing market dynamics, or address important societal issues.
- This category is dedicated to a company's successful initiatives that have delivered a positive impact on its business, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Innovation Award
- The Innovation Award is dedicated to recognising companies that have demonstrated outstanding innovation in areas outside of technology. This award celebrates creative and inventive solutions that extend beyond the realm of technology, encompassing domains such as business processes, service delivery, marketing, sustainability, and other non-technical fields. It honors organisations that have introduced groundbreaking changes and set new industry standards in these non-technical areas, reshaping the way business is conducted in their sector.
