Hong Kong Airlines clinches investment fund for restructuring
The restructuring will help the airline expedite its business recovery.
Hong Kong Airlines (HKA) has secured a strategic investment fund to be used for its restructuring.
The airline did not disclose the amount of the investment it received.
In an announcement, HKA said the restructuring will expedite its business recovery and return to a healthy growth trajectory.
"In the year ahead, our focus remains on business recovery, supported by strategic route
planning and fleet realignment. The company will strive to offer our customers more choices and
top-notch service, strengthening our role in developing Hong Kong as a world-class aviation
hub," Hong Kong Airlines Chairman, Hou Wei, said.
A representative of the investors, meanwhile, said they will fully support Hong Kong Airlines in its journey towards new heights.
“In addition, we will actively respond to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and strive to strengthen Hong Kong's dominant position in the aviation sector. We are committed to building Hong Kong into an international hub,” the representative said.
