Hong Kong Airlines resumes operations at Sanya Phoenix International Airport
HKA also has a new terminal at the Sanya airport.
Amidst the continued recovery of aviation travel, Hong Kong Airlines (HKA) resumes its daily flight at the Sanya Phoenix International Airport.
The resumption signals the growth of tourism industry, stimulate economic activity, and boost connections between the two regions, “further establishing an aerial bridge between Hong Kong’s international financial centre and Hainan’s free trade port.”
Hong Kong Airlines Chairman Hou Wei said since their inaugural service to Sanya in 2007, the city has been one of their key destinations.
“We are delighted to reconnect with the city as we rebuild our network. Coupled with our daily direct service to Haikou, we have established our presence in Hainan and demonstrated our commitment to the province,” it added.
Sanya Airport spokesperson said they will speed up “significant importance for the economic and tourism development of both regions.”
It will “accelerate the progress of restoring international (regional) passenger routes, by adjusting the international (regional) passenger flight protection zones, formulating special protection plans, refining protection details and customs clearance procedures, testing protection systems, and conducting a series of preparatory work, such as simulation exercises, to continuously enhance the support capabilities for international flights and port service functions.”
