Government approves 15 building plans
Four on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and six in the New Territories.
According to the Buildings Department, the 15 plans approved in April consist of eight for apartment and apartment-commercial developments, five for commercial developments, one for factory and industrial developments, and one for community services developments.
Consent was given for work to start on 10 building projects that will provide 42,839 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 1,214 units, and 27,996 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
The department received notification of the start of work for nine building projects.
It also issued 13 occupation permits - five on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and four in the New Territories.
The buildings certified for occupation have 76,779 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 1,066 units, and 25,793 sq m for non-domestic use.
The declared cost of new buildings completed in April totalled $3.8 billion.
