HK to host international sustainable building conference

Takes place September 12-13.

The “Sustainable Building 2013 Hong Kong Regional Conference,” which will carry the theme, "Urban Density & Sustainability,” will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Kowloon East Hotel.

The Construction Industry Council and the Hong Kong Green Building Council officially kicked off the countdown to the conference yesterday.

The conference will gather regional and worldwide experts to share and exchange knowledge in the area of sustainable building development. It aims to generate all-new insights into the balance between urban growth and sustainable development.

HKGBC said hosting this high level conference not only sets the stage for showcasing the distinctive characteristics of Hong Kong's built environment, but also signifies the international recognition of ots industry stakeholders' achievement and hard work on leading the sustainable building movement.

One of the highlights of the event will be an interactive Green Building Tour of Hong Kong.
