Prudential Hong Kong wins top award for Tele-Medical Examination
Called the ‘Tele-ME’, this is Prudential’s market-first online health service.
Following the launch of Prudential’s award-winning health and fitness mobile app and telemedicine services, its innovative and creative approach brings it to the next level in demonstrating the nimble use of digital. With this development, Prudential aims to successfully become the leader in launching the Tele-Medical Examination (Tele-ME) online health service.
In response to market needs, the service was designed to bring more privacy and convenience to customers. The goal was to conduct medical examinations in a familiar and safe environment, whilst completing the whole process online to facilitate and speed up the overall underwriting process.
Prudential's customer-centric approach drives our pursuit of operational excellence, delivering unique and scalable solutions that adapt to the changing needs of its customers.
When the fifth wave of COVID-19 hit Hong Kong and local travels became inconvenient, Prudential quickly launched its market-first Tele-Medical Examination (Tele-ME) service.
Tele-ME enables customers who declared minimal health impairments to conduct medical examinations with a certified doctor through video communication in the comfort of their home, ensuring privacy and convenience with a safe environment.
By allowing the entire procedure to be completed online, Prudential has streamlined and facilitated rapid completion of the underwriting process which is exclusive and available for their customers only.
The new online service is a meaningful milestone in Prudential’s pursuit of advancing online health and insurance services combining our expertise with the latest technologies taking care of the needs of local customers.
The approach embraces the “new normal”, the post-Covid-19 pandemic economy where public health has become the spotlight.
Providing online services is the general trend and increasing in demand for all industries and the launch of Tele-ME allows its customers to access and experience the convenience of using our online services, catering the needs of the mass audience across different generations.
