Unlimitics receives accolade at HKB Technology Excellence Awards 2024
Its generative AI school simulation game aims to develop executive functioning skills of neurodivergent children.
Generative artificial intelligence (AI)-powered school simulation game Unlimitics brought home the AI - Education category win in the coveted HKB Technology Excellence Awards 2024 for its success in allowing neurodivergent children to revisit specific moments at school, providing a complementary approach to serve the neurodiverse community.
It utilises AI-calibrated scenarios based on real-time input, which serves as a valuable component of a therapeutic programme.
Driven by the belief in authentic and immersive experiences, Unlimitics provides access to equal opportunity for neurodivergent children to thrive holistically.
The platform is currently in the advanced stages of research and development, wherein extensive work has been done to conceptualise the platform, define the features, and develop the foundational technology infrastructure.
The initial prototypes of the platform have been successfully designed and are being tested with neurodivergent children and therapists. Their feedback further demonstrates its potential in addressing challenges related to EF skill development.
The innovation behind Unlimitics comes amidst the limitations of traditional pharmaceutical treatments, where the expected results were often hindered by side effects, as well as non-pharmaceutical treatments such as behavioural therapy with cost being significant barrier to therapy success.
