Looking for a flat but tired of the traditional point-click flat hunting? Spacious has the answer. Started in August last year, Spacious is an online platform which aims to make it easier for flat-hunters to find a property in Hong Kong.
In an exclusive interview with the Hong Kong Business, founder Asif Ghafoor shared ''we’ve all had to do the flat-hunting thing, and it sucks. It’s tricky to find flats online, doing it in person is time-consuming, and either way it’s hard to compare prices and market information. Spacious overlays Hong Kong property listings onto a map, and cross-references them with previous data to indicate if the place you’re looking at is a good deal, or just owned by a greedy landlord.''
To enhance user-experience, Spacious features detailed neighbourhood guides which aim to help hunters find the right property to rent or buy.
Spacious, which started as a self-funded startup, was accepted into the Hong Kong science park incubator program. It raised private capital later through fund raising effort.
Now, Spacious is currently looking for more investors who can bring something special to the team.
“We want Spacious to significantly improve the experience of buying or renting a property. The general consensus across property searchers seems to be that the current players are not providing the great customer experience people expect. We passionately believe Spacious will change this,” said Asif.
