Sale-purchase deals for building units dip 3.7%
Number of agreements declined to 9,990.
According to a government release, the number of sale and purchase agreements for all building units received for registration in September was 9,990, down 3.7% on August and up 51.8% year on year.
Land Registry figures revealed that the 12-month moving average for September was 8,346, which was 3.5% above the 12-month moving average for August, but 23.8% below that for September last year.
The total consideration for sale and purchase agreements in the month was $53.6 billion, down 1% on August, but up 71.7% year on year.
Of the agreements, 7,301 were for residential units, down 9.7% on August, but up 51.4% on September last year.
The total consideration for residential unit sale and purchase agreements was $40.4 billion, up 1.8% on August and up 76.1% on September last year.
The public made 439,288 land-register searches in September, down 11.6% compared with August, and up 19.7% year on year.
