Tender for China Evergrande Centre disposal to close on 31 October
It has a gross floor area of 345,423 sq. ft. across 27 storeys.
The tender for the disposal of China Evergrande Centre will end at noon on 31 October, according to Savills, the real estate firm named as the sole agent by the receivers from Alvarez and Marsal in connection with the transaction.
In a statement, Savills said the disposal of the property is on an "as-is" basis with existing tenancies. It is only one of the five en-bloc buildings with single ownership on Gloucester Road, Wanchai complete with headquarters specifications.
China Evergrande Centre stand on a corner site of around 23,021 square feet (sq. ft.), located next to three main roads. It is near three MTR stations and the four-line transport hub of Admirality within a 5-minute walk.

The property also has a total approved gross floor area of around 345,423 sq. ft. across 27 floors, providing room for the lobby, shops, a chairman floor, and office floors with a typical floor area of 12,000 to 14,000 sq. ft.
It also has 55 parking spaces at par with the standard of headquarters buildings within Wan Chai/Admiralty CBD.
Raymond Lee, CEO of Greater China of Savills, said they expect the property to benefit from its location and "synergy with new Government development projects and renowned Grade A office buildings nearby."
“Referring to the Central’s Murray Road site acquired by Henderson Land in 2017, the price per square foot was around HK$50,000, and Site 3 of Hong Kong’s New Central Harbourfront project acquired in 2021, was sold at about HK$31,000 per square feet,” he said.
“Therefore, the tender sale of The Property, with its panoramic sea views and Corner site, is not to be missed by investors regardless of long-term investment or consideration of redevelopment,” he added.
