
Government earmarked $50m for Technology Voucher Programme
It aims to subside the technological solutions of local, non-listed enterprises.
The government has approved a total of $50m to maintain and enhnace the Technology Voucher Programme since its launch in November 2016 which aims to subsidise the technological services and solutions of local firms in Hong Kong.
Since the end of February, all local non-listed enterprises, irrespective of size and duration of operation, have been able to apply for the programme, according to Secretary for Innovation & Technology Nicholas Yang.
Over 370 enterprises have benefited from the programme which aims to boost productivity and upgrade business processes, a government press release noted.
The enhanced programme is set to slash the number of requirements and shorten assessment time to accelerate the technological advancements of SMEs.
Average processing time is about 80 working days depending on the information submitted by applicants and the complexity of their applications.
