HK, Cambodia sign 13 MoUs to boost trade and investment
The CE encourages Cambodian businesses to partner with Hong Kong.
Hong Kong and Cambodia signed 13 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) as part of their strategy to enhance economic ties and explore new opportunities for cooperation.
The agreements between the two economies cover areas such as economic cooperation, trade, investment promotion, aviation, information and technology, and financial services.
"We are here to explore the immense opportunities for trade and investment co-operation between Hong Kong and Cambodia, for mutual prosperity and economic development as well as business promotion," John Lee, Hong Kong’s chief executive, said during a high-level business delegation to Cambodia from 30 to 31 July.
Hong Kong is the prime connection point for international businesses to tap into growth markets in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and throughout China.
"I welcome Cambodian enterprises and entrepreneurs to partner with Hong Kong and, together with us, tap into the area's far-reaching business and investment opportunities," Lee added.
