Chief Execuive Lee talks green cooperation with Qinghai governor
Direct flights between Hong Kong and Xining resumed in July.
Chief Executive John Lee met with Qinghai Governor Wu Xiaojun to talk about green resources cooperation between Hong Kong and Qinghai.
With Qinghai being a major green resources province, Lee said that Hong Kong can complement Qinghai in research and development, such as building a salt lake industry base and a national highland for clean energy.
Additionally, he stressed that Qinghai enterprises can leverage Hong Kong as an international trade centre to explore markets and enhance Qinghai's position as a supplier of green organic agricultural and livestock products.
Lee pointed out that cooperation is made easier due to Xining in Qinghai Province becoming part of the Individual Visit Scheme and direct flights between Hong Kong and Xining resuming in July.
