Staff members of Standard Chartered Plc in Hong Kong has started working in split teams after the Asian financial hub imposed stricter measures anew due to rising COVID-19 cases.
Reuters, in its report, said the London-headquartered bank issued a memo to staff ordering the resumption of a “hard-split A/B team arrangement” for its critical teams.
The split-team system started this week.
In the same memo, bank employees were called on to refrain from attending “large-scale organised events and unnecessary social gatherings.”
According to Bloomberg, the bank has about 6,000 employees in Hong Kong.
