BEA Union Investment appoints Eleanor Wan as CEO

Effective today, Ms Wan succeeds Mr Ilex Lam, who joined the Company as CEO in 2007.

With more than 15 years of experience in Asia’s asset management industry, Ms Wan is a highly seasoned veteran with an extensive background in various functional areas within the mutual funds industry, including overall business development, marketing, sales, client servicing, and general management.

Her most recent position was CEO of the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong. Prior to that, she was CEO of Allianz Global Investors (HK) Ltd. from 2007 to 2008, where she was responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies and managing multinational distributors.

Ms Wan also served as Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association.
