Wines were 93% sold.
According to a release, Acker Merrall & Condit realized a total of HK$45,890,316/US$5,883,374 in its Hong Kong auction on 31 May & 1 June at the Island Shangri-La and Grand Hyatt Hong Kong and was 93% sold.
The auction marked the 5th anniversary of Acker's auction business in Asia and featured over 1,100 lots of the world’s finest and rarest wines, including a direct consignment of Premier and Grand Crus from the cellars of the great Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair.
So far in 2013, Acker’s Hong Kong auctions have totaled over HK$137 Million/US$17.57 Million, affirming Acker’s leadership position in the Asia region.
The top lot was an original wooden case of 12 bottles of 1988 Romanée-Conti that achieved HK$1,131,600/US$145,077. A direct consignment from one of Burgundy’s top estates, the Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair, achieved fantastic results with nearly all of the lots achieving prices above pre-sale estimates.
