FS Tsang bound for Beijing, Tianjin
Paul Chan will take over in his absence.
According to a government release, Financial Secretary John Tsang will leave for Beijing on October 29 for a three-day visit, before taking a day trip to Tianjin.
In Beijing Mr Tsang will meet officials in charge of Hong Kong affairs, and financial, monetary, and trade matters.
These include the Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Finance, China Banking Regulatory Commission, China Securities Regulatory Commission, State-owned Assets Supervision & Administration Commission, China Insurance Regulatory Commission, National Development & Reform Commission, and the People's Bank of China.
Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Prof KC Chan and Hong Kong Monetary Authority Chief Executive Norman Chan will accompany Mr Tsang.
Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on October 31. Secretary for Development Paul Chan will act as Financial Secretary during Mr Tsang's absence.
