Healthcare project grant now open to applicants
Deadline is on July 31.
According to a report, the Food & Health Bureau is inviting non-profit-making organisations to submit grant applications to organise programmes to help people adopt healthier lifestyles and promote community health.
The grants are available for non-research projects and seed funding under the Health Care & Promotion Fund. Priority is given to applications targeting vulnerable and underprivileged groups, and to programmes in primary-care settings.
Funding priority will also be given to projects which focus on themes including tobacco control, lifestyle, nutrition and physical activity, mental well-being, injury prevention, reducing alcohol-related problems, promoting the family doctor model of care and community empowerment in managing chronic diseases.
The deadline is July 31. Successful applicants may be awarded support of up to $300,000 on a one-off basis for projects, and up to $500,000 for seed funding.
