IHH Healthcare expands portfolio in Hong Kong

According to CIMB, IHH is adding Hong Kong to its extensive global network. CIMB adds that it is not surprised by its winning bid to acquire a site on which it will construct, develop and operate a private hospital in Hong Kong. This reinforces IHH’s status of a premier Asian healthcare play.

The site that IHH has won is expected to be fully developed for hospital use in late 2016 when the hospital is scheduled to begin operations. The hospital will provide a full range of clinical services with more than 15 specialties including general medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics and gynaecology. It will have a total capacity of 500 beds.
The Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine of The University of Hong Kong will act as the clinical partner of the hospital and oversee its clinical governance, professional standards, appointment of doctors and the training of doctors, nurses and allied healthcare staff.
