According to a report, Acting Secretary for Home Affairs Florence Hui says promoting ‘sport for all’ will not end with the conclusion of the 4th Hong Kong Games, which was held from April 27 to June 2.
At a prize presentation ceremony today, she said the vitality and positive energy fostered by the games would continue, making Hong Kong a healthier and happier place to live.
A highlighted event in support of the "Hong Kong: Our Home" Campaign, the games attracted 3,100 athletes from 18 districts competing in more than 1,000 contests in eight sports - athletics, badminton, basketball, futsal, swimming, table tennis, tennis and volleyball.
The overall championship title went to Yuen Long District, which earned the highest total score in all eight sporting events. Eastern District was first runner-up, and Kowloon City District was second runner-up.
