2 more men tested positive for H7N9
One of them has already died.
According to a report, the Centre for Health Protection has been informed of two confirmed human cases of Influenza A (H7N9) in Zhejiang.
Last night, the National Health & Family Planning Commission verified that the cases involve two men, aged 38 and 67. The former has died. They tested positive for H7N9.
The Zhejiang Department of Health said no epidemiological links were identified in the two cases. So far, the 183 close contacts of the two patients are normal.
The centre is closely monitoring the situation and has advised travellers from Shanghai, Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang with respiratory symptoms to wear facial masks and seek medical attention and reveal their travel histories to doctors.
It said healthcare professionals should watch for travellers from the four regions who might have contact with birds or poultry.
