HK, Mainland boost medical cooperation
Health Secretary Lo put forward HK’s efforts on medical innovation amongst others.
Hong Kong and the Mainland have vowed to deepen their medical cooperation.
During Hong Kong Health Secretary Lo Chung-mau’s meeting with the Director General of the National Health Commission (NHC)’s Office of Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Affairs Zhang Yang, the government official introduced the latest developments in the city’s healthcare field.
Lo put forward HK’s efforts into medical innovation, public health enhancement, hospital management, service quality advancement and organ transplant.
Lo noted that under the principle of complementarity and mutual benefits and on the premise of benefitting the healthcare development of both the Mainland and Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has been working together with various Mainland provinces and cities in reinforcing cooperation on healthcare service development for levelling up the quality of healthcare.
