'Vaccine measures won't be lifted anytime soon': Carrie Lam
Areas of concern include the quarantine hotel and pet shop clusters.
Current vaccine measures will continue, said Chief Executive Carrie Lam, but the government will consider adopting an extended vaccine bubble arrangement.
She specifically points to two local COVID clusters, the quarantine hotel and the pet shop clusters, as areas of concern.
Meanwhile, the catering and beauty parlour trades are currently offering proposals of a vaccine bubble for their customers.
“In the next two weeks or so, we will continue to engage them and see whether we can come up with more acceptable arrangements that would give us the assurance on fighting the epidemic, but at the same time allowing the business to operate,” said Lam.
