5 barriers to wider adoption of AI in recruitment processes
Only 23% of employers use AI in various recruitment stages.
Hong Kong is still far from widely adopting artificial intelligence in recruitment processes.
According to Hays, the main barrier to its wider adoption is budget constraints, a problem for 51% of HR professionals.
Other challenges include a lack of human touch and personalisation (41%), issues with IT implementation (31%), training HR staff to effectively use AI tools (25%), and data privacy and security concerns (25%).
“To date, only 23% of employers in Hong Kong SAR use AI to assist them in various stages of recruitment,” said Sue Wei, Managing Director at Hays Greater China. “Establishing the long-term cost savings and efficiencies of AI implementation will be crucial to the adoption of AI in recruitment.”
