Immigration adjusts visa application requirements
Applicants must declare if they have a criminal record to obtain an entry visa beginning 19 June.
The Immigration Department will adjust its procedures for the entry visa application for dependents, foreign domestic helpers, imported workers, and students starting 19 June.
The adjustment also applies to entry visa applications of those who want to enter the city for training or a holiday.
Applicants are now required to declare whether they have any criminal records before applying for an entry visa.

As a transitional arrangement, the department will continue processing entry visa applications that reach on or before 18 June, regardless if the applicants declared their criminal record or not.
The adjustment will not affect applications for extension of stay and foreign domestic helpers' contract renewal with and changing of their employers.
