Wan Chai recruitment and training expo rolls out 5,600 jobs

100 organisations set to participate from March 13 - 14.

According to a report, about 5,600 jobs will be on offer at the Wan Chai Recruitment & Training Expo at Southorn Stadium on March 13 and 14.

A total of 100 organisations will participate. Ninety of them will set up counters and conduct on-the-spot recruitment. Ten training organisations will provide course information.

These organisations mainly come from the retail, catering and transport industries. Jobs to be on offer include security officer, warehouse worker, customer services officer, telemarketer, technician, driver, storekeeper, cook, kitchen helper, waiter/waitress, bar assistant, shop assistant, security guard and cleaner.

More than 80% of the vacancies are for full-time jobs. The majority offer monthly salaries ranging from $6,000 to $11,000. About 98% of these vacancies require a Secondary Six education level or below. Around 67% are open to job seekers without relevant experience.

The expo will be held from 11am to 5.30pm at Southorn Stadium, 1/F, 111 Johnston Road, Wan Chai (MTR Wan Chai Station Exit A3).
