Welfare cases in Hong Kong dropped a measly 0.2%
Overall caseload stood at 267,623 in March.
According to a report by the Social Welfare Department, the overall Comprehensive Social Security Assistance caseload stood at 267,623 in March, with 414,148 recipients, down 0.2% on February.
Low earnings cases registered a month-to-month decrease of 1.3% to 9,942 cases.
Unemployment and single parent cases dropped by 0.5% and 0.4% to 23,293 and 30,513 cases.
Old age and ill-health cases both registered a slight decrease of 0.1% to 153,237 and 25,217 cases.
Permanent disability cases remained steady at 18,351.
