Telegraph42 unveils new data route between Frankfurt and HK
The route lays the foundation for the Digital Silk Way Project.
Internet infrastructure company Telegraph42 unveiled an alternative data transit route between Frankfurt and Hong Kong that passes through the Balkan regions, the Middle East and Central Asia.
In a statement, Telegraph42 said the Southern Route is part of the Digital Silk Way Project.
The new route, based on high-speed data transfer infrastructure, replaces reliance on existing subsea cables, leading to more efficient data transfer between Hong Kong and Europe with an initial throughput of up to one terabit per second (Tbps), but with the guaranteed possibility of a very fast channel expansion.
Telegraph42 said the new route provides extra resilience and protection layer from physical damage.
The Digital Silk Way Project is a high-speed data transfer infrastructure designed to increase regional connectivity potential and penetration, contributing to economic growth and supporting efforts to build a digital ecosystem in the region.
The project aims to speed up data transfer between Central Asia and Europe.
