The Innovation & Technology Commission has launched a website featuring over 360 research and development outcomes to promote information and technology development and reindustrialisation in Hong Kong.
Through the Innovation Hub@HK website, the commission said universities, research institutes and the industry can facilitate technology transfer and commercialisation of R&D outcomes.
The R&D outcomes available on the site can also help businesses across all industries to enhance their efficacy, and strengthen their competitiveness.
Secretary for Innovation, Technology & Industry Prof Sun Dong, who officiated the launch, said the platform also facilitates closer collaboration among academia, research institutes and the industry, which in turn, will “foster the development of a diversified economy and create more quality employment opportunities.”
Currently, the R&D outcomes on the website are from six research institutes and six universities. Soon, it will also include outcomes from 28 InnoHK research clusters.
