Only Watch charity auction kicked off in September
The 5th edition of Only Watch, a charity auction conducted every 2 years since 2005, took place on Saturday, September 28th in Monaco.
The event was highlighted by the participation of Patek Philippe with an exceptional and unique Ref.5004 in Titanium. Reference 5004 embodied the traditional, manually wound chronograph at its highest level.
Its Caliber CHR 27-70 Q is based on a “Nouvelle Lémania” movement, produced exclusively for Patek Philippe and completely reworked in the company’s workshops, to which Patek Philippe’s engineers and master watchmakers have added a sophisticated split-seconds mechanism and a very fine perpetual calendar.
The Patek Philippe Ref.5004T (Lot nr.25) reached a new record result of €2,950,000.-
The proceeds from the sales are donated to the Monegasque Association against Muscular Dystrophy to help finance research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative neuromuscular disease affecting one in 3’500 children, adolescents, and young adults around the world.
33 unique watches and a collection of 14 vintage magnum champagne bottles were sold under the hammer of Antiquorum Auctioneers for a total of €5,066,000.-, making it the most successful benefits event organized by Association Monegasque contre les Myopathies (AMM) to date.
