Application for arts funding program unveiled

Deadline of submission is on June 3.

According to a release, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department is inviting arts groups and artists to apply for the 2014 Community Cultural Ambassador Scheme.

It encourages local performing artists and arts groups to hold outreach arts activities throughout Hong Kong.

Applicants should be registered local non-profit-making performing arts groups or ensembles of artists that have been active in the past three years and possess experience in public performance of a high standard.

Applicants can submit proposals for audience-building and arts-education activities that are specifically designed for particular community groups or which will be conducted in specific districts, or for audience-building and arts-education activities that are designed for the general public.

The proposal should cover one or more performing art forms.

The deadline is June 3.
