Government unveils 'Hong Kong Yearbook' iPad app
It covers economy, commerce and industry.
According to a government release, the Information Services Department today launched an iPad application for its latest yearbook, Hong Kong 2011.
The app can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store by searching for "Hong Kong Yearbook" or from here. It is available in Traditional Chinese and English.
The book provides an in-depth account of government policy and activities and an overview of Hong Kong life and developments in 2011.
The front cover features the new Central Government Offices on the harbourfront, designed as an "open door" to depict the Administration as open and receptive to new ideas.
The yearbook's 21 chapters cover the economy, commerce and industry. It has 12 colour sections with more than 110 photographs including those relating to the Tamar Development Project, the Japan earthquake, global promotions, creative industries, the cultural kaleidoscope and sporting action.
Accessible through the App Store, the app can also be downloaded from the department website, or the government yearbook website, connecting to the App Store.
