Hong Kong films tour Europe
Part of the annual Hong Kong Film Panorama.
The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Brussels (HKETO, Brussels) opened the Hong Kong Film Panorama at the Musee d'Aquitaine in Bordeaux, France on on September 23. The film showing will end September 27.
The 2012-2013 edition of the annual touring Hong Kong Film Panorama organized by the HKETO, Brussels to showcase recent Hong Kong films has already been held in Lisbon, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Florence, Lisbon, Madrid and Rome.
Six films are being screened in Bordeaux: Ann Hui's "My Way" and "A Simple Life", Herman Yau's "Love Lifting", Fung Chih-chiang's "The Bounty", Bill Yip's "The Cure" and Derek Yee's "The Great Magician".
Meriadeck, the municipal library of Bordeaux, is exhibiting 11 Hong Kong photographs from September 9 to October 30. The works, on loan from the HKETO, Brussels, include nine black and white art photos from the Hong Kong Vision series by Belgian photographer Jean-Dominique Burton and two contrasting colour photos. The library will also display a selection of books about Hong Kong to present the city's developments in different areas.
