Quarry Park designs sashay on display

The rock face may become an iconic landmark.

According to a release, Director of Planning Jimmy Leung today officiated at the prize presentation ceremony and exhibition of design ideas competition for "Quarry Park and Rock Face for the Planning Study on Future Land Use at Anderson Road Quarry" at the City Gallery in Central.

Mr Leung said the creative ideas of entries could help enhance the design of the future Quarry Park and turn the existing rock face into an iconic landmark for Hong Kong.

The competition is part of the Stage 2 Community Engagement of the Study. Subject to the feasibility study, the design ideas and concepts gathered from the entries will be incorporated into the final design of Quarry Park and the rock face.

A total of 23 entries were received in the Competition. Three winning and five merit entries were selected.
