Gaming revenues hit HK$1 billion per day
It’s higher than in April.
According to Barclays, average table revenues stayed strong at HK$1.0 bn per day during the period of 5-11 May, softer than the Labour Day period (1-4 May) that was at HK$1.349bn per day, but this remains much stronger than April which was at HK$975 mn per day.
Here’s more from Barclays:
If we assume the rest of the month continues to see HK$1.0 bn per day table revenues, and add a slot revenue full month assumption of HK$1.15bn, May total gross gaming revenue could be at HK$33.55 bn, +17% y/y.
This would be better than April growth that was at +11% y/y.
We believe this set of strong data would provide the market with some comfort that earlier negative news flow on junkets does not seem to be impacting revenues so far.
