Xinyi Glass, Xinyi Solar join Forbes Global 2000 for the first time
Xinyi Glass and Xinyi Solar both made it in the 1,509th and 1,615th rank, respectively.
Xinyi Glass Holdings Limited and Xinyi Solar Holdings Limited ranked 1,509th and 1,615th respectively, in this year’s Forbes Global 2000.
This is the first time the glass manufacturing firms have entered the list, which it considers a testament to the international recognition the “Xinyi Family” has been receiving.
“Having two companies, for the first time, included on the ‘Forbes Global 2000 2021’ list tells us that our strengths are well-recognised by authoritative international media,” Xinyi Glass and Xinyi Solar Chairman Lee Yin Yee, B.B.S. said.
“The Group will work hard on maintaining growth momentum, press on with global strategic deployment, expand production capacity in good order and seize development opportunities at home and abroad, with the aim of building Xinyi into a top international brand."
Topping the Forbes Global List is China’s ICBC, followed by US-based JPMorgan Chase and Berkshire Hathaway in the second and third.
Also amongst the top ten are the China Construction Bank, Saudi Arabian Oil Company, Apple, Bank of America, Ping An Insurance Group, Agricultural Bank of China and the Amazon.
Hong Kong-based firms that made it to the list are China Mobile (32nd), AIA Group (55th), CITIC (104th), CK Hutchison (180th), CNOOC (187th) and China Resources Land (190th) amongst others.
