AIG appoints two new senior execs in Asia Pacific
American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG) has announced two senior executive appointments to drive growth in the Asia Pacific region with the promotion of Penny Seach to Head of Casualty, Asia Pacific, outside Japan, and the naming of Robert Klepper as Global Property Executive, Asia Pacific. Seach joined AIG in 1993 as Commercial Claims Manager in her home country of South Africa. Before rejoining AIG in 2011 to head up the Crisis Management portfolio within Asia Pacific, she spent three years in the Middle East at another carrier. In a newly created position, Klepper will be responsible for the leadership and profitability of AIG’s Commercial and Energy Property businesses across the Asia Pacific region. In addition to this responsibility, he will also retain his current role as Chief Underwriting Officer, Global Property. Klepper brings over 27 years of underwriting expertise to his new role. Prior to joining AIG in January 2012, he spent three years at Torus Insurance Holdings, most recently as President and Global Chief Underwriting Officer, with responsibility for Offshore Energy, Onshore Energy, Power and Utilities, Construction, General Property, and Risk Engineering.
