Art tops list of luxury items Hongkongers are willing to invest on
It registered the highest 12-month growth in Knight Frank’s Luxury Investment Index.
Hongkongers are most likely to invest in art amongst luxury collectables, according to Knight Frank’s Luxury Investment Index.
According to Knight Frank, the art market recorded a 12-month growth of 30%, the highest in the index. Year-on-year, the market registered a 109% growth.
The report revealed that women artists are particularly popular with collectors.
“Collectors are at last turning their attention to women and particularly contemporary women artists,” Knight Frank said.
Second and third on the list are watches and jewellery, which both recorded a 10% 12-month growth.
