Dilys' fine jewellery showpiece takes the Luxury Award at the HKB Made in Hong Kong Awards
The Hong Kong fine jeweller reveals a transformable crown necklace adorned with certified stones in 18K white gold.
Dilys’, Hong Kong’s esteemed bespoke fine jewellery brand and one of the city’s best kept secrets, won the luxury category at the recently concluded HKB Made in Hong Kong Awards for the Transformable Crown Necklace set with an array of natural jadeite jade, rubies, blue sapphires and diamonds, all in 18K white gold.
Established in 1991, Dilys’ has a history that has earned the maison a reputation as a local treasure. Housed in Room 702 of the iconic New World Tower on Queen’s Road Central, the jeweller offers the exclusive and exciting experience of finding truly unique and personalised designer jewellery. The jeweller is also renowned for cultivating a loyal and exclusive clientele of empowered women and collectors from Hong Kong to Mainland China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and beyond.
“Dilys’ has been built around understanding, respecting and designing for beautiful, smart modern women from the start,” said Dilys Young, founder and creative director. “The Transformable Crown Necklace is the product of our belief that successful modern women deserve a coronation of their own, resulting in a version of the crown that is all glamour, femininity and Asian practicality,” Young expressed. With 30-plus years of experience in designing bespoke jewellery for individual clients, Young has been able to capture the hearts and attention of beautiful women with her signature bold, vibrant yet thoughtful designs.
Staying true to its roots, Young crafts all of Dilys’ pieces in an in-house workshop located in the heart of Hong Kong. This commitment ensures all of Dilys’ one-of-a-kind pieces to be handcrafted with the utmost quality from start-to-finish in her hometown. Young oversees the design and production of every single piece down to the smallest detail, ensuring her clients are wearing the best possible versions of her designs that are comfortable, versatile and exquisitely beautiful. A closer look at the design of the standout Transformable Crown Necklace reveals a regal silhouette traditional to the West, and the use of jadeite, rubies and accents of blue sapphire that takes cue from the jewels of the Qing Dynasty. As a Chinese designer from Hong Kong, Young has always been fascinated by how this city acts as a cultural melting pot, where the rich cultures and traditions of China and the West can meet and inspire each other. She hopes to communicate this city’s unique East-Meets-West aesthetic through her every creation to celebrate modern women.
Dilys’ customers are also guaranteed an extensive after-sales service if faced with technical issues for each one-of-a-kind piece. “If our customers ever do face any issues with the wearability of our jewellery, we are always able to alter, repair or redesign the piece to their satisfaction,” the brand concluded.
