Hong Kong sets GBA mediator standards, requires training
Applicants must also have at least three years experience as a mediator.
The government introduced new rules for individuals planning to apply for accreditation as a GBA Mediator through Hong Kong.
Under the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Mediator Accreditation Rules, applicants must uphold the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), the Basic Laws of Hong Kong and Macao SARS, and the “one country, two systems” policy.
Applicants should also complete the GBA Mediator Training Course, have at least three years of work experience as a mediator, and have good professional ethics with no misconduct record.
The Department of Justice of Hong Kong formulated local accreditation rules based on the GBA Mediator Accreditation Standards' requirements.
