Online home decor retailer iDecorate joins the click-to-collect craze
Check out its first physical store in Admiralty.
More Hong Kongers are jumping on the click-and-collect bandwagon as shoppers opt to ‘buy online and pick up in stores.’ Riding on this trend in Hong Kong, 3-year old online home decor retailer iDecorate opened its first ever brick-and-mortar store within LAB Concepts at Admiralty.
The new concept store is filled with uniquely sourced pieces of home decor and accessories. Customers can order items online and pick up in-store, walk in to browse at LAB Concepts or order and arrange delivery online.
iDecorate is bringing global brands to Hong Kong. Most of the brands are exclusive to iDecorate so you will not find them anywhere else.
“iDecorate is completely unique and we provide a solution to customers looking to decorate small spaces with affordable but stylish designer homewares, gifts and accessories,” said co-founder Shana Buchanan.
Shana added that customers don’t even have to come to the store as they also offer free gift wrapping and personal messages. They can simply order online and send gifts to their loved ones anywhere in the world.
iDecorate also offers B2B and corporate design, sourcing and styling solutions. They are also working with clients from all over the world. Shana shared that iDecorate plans to grow the product range by launching new brands each week and new products online everyday.
The founders
Bound together by a mutual love of all things luxurious and stylish, friends-turned-business partners Shana and Christie Simpson use iDecorate as a way to channel their creativity and energy. Their vision is to continue to grow iDecorate into a lifestyle brand that is informative, visual, fresh and exciting for years to come.
A former fund manager-turned-entrepreneur, Shana single-handedly founded iDecorate three years ago. Before starting iDecorate Shana juggled a finance career and a family textile business for nearly eight years. While working with some of Australia’s best interior designers, Shana realised how challenging it was for most people to style and decorate their home which led her to establish iDecorate.
Christie, meanwhile, is an international stylist originally from London who made Hong Kong her home for the last nine years. In 2015, Shana brought Christie into iDecorate to help continue its growth, development as well as bring new brands on board. She is a regular interior stylist for Home Journal and Prop Stylist.
With over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry, her creative force has shown her editorial concepts featured in Elle, Oyster, Tatler, Grazia, L’Officiel and the South China Morning Post. Her work has taken her around the world on photo and commercial shoots with clients including L’Oreal, Mr Porter, The Outnet, Nissan, Ellie Saab, Agent Provocateur, Fox TV, Avon, Harry Winston and Cathay Pacific.
