HK signs customs pact with South Korea
Commissioner of Customs & Excise Richard Yuen today signed agreed minutes for closer co-operation with Korea Customs Service Commissioner Yoon Young-sun.
This transpired during the 29th Customs Co-operation Conference in Hong Kong.
They agreed to continue with the prompt exchange of intelligence to combat transnational customs offences, including drug trafficking, cigarette smuggling and intellectual property rights infringements, as well as enhance co-operation on financial investigation issues.
Mr Yuen said: "At today's conference we had a fruitful exchange of views on various topics of mutual concern. In the days ahead we will continue to sustain our close working relationship and will develop initiatives to foster an even more strategic partnership to meet forthcoming challenges."
