New HKSTS journal to be published by Elsevier

Journal will report on the impact of transportation on society.

The new journal of the Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies (HKSTS), “Travel Behavior and Society,” is an interdisciplinary journal publishing high-quality, original papers which report on leading research in theory, methodology and applications, in relation to the issues and challenges surrounding the social and spatial aspects of transportation.

It aims to provide a forum for publication and discussion for all research in the field of transportation, including travel behavior, infrastructure, environmental issues, mobility and social sustainability, transportation geographic information systems (TGIS), quality of life, data collection and analysis.

According to its editors, Travel Behavior and Society is the journal for researchers to report and learn about top-quality, cutting-edge research on understanding people in relation to transportation, and on the impact of transportation on society.

It will publish three issues per year beginning January 2014.
