Gov’t extends tender period for sale of charging station lots

It was extended by three more weeks.

The government extended the tender invitation period for the sale of two lots for conversion into charging stations for electric taxis and public light buses.

The Environment and Ecology Bureau will provide an additional three weeks to give tenderers more time to consider their tender submission issues.

The new tender closing date for the lot at No. 8 Kai Fuk Road, Kowloon Bay, will be on 31 May, whilst that for Shan Mei Street, Sha Tin, will be on 21 June.

The government will publish the details about the extension on 26 April.

The government also announced the ceiling price adjustment mechanism for charging electric vehicles.

“Under relevant clause of Special Conditions of the tender for electric vehicles charging station, the charging service to electric taxis and electric public light buses shall not be provided at a price higher than the prevailing ceiling price for electricity charging as announced by the Director of Environmental Protection from time to time,” it said.
