Leases at EcoPark Phase 2 given to 6 recycling firms
Six recycling companies have been awarded leases at the EcoPark Phase 2 lots by the Environmental Protection Department.
The tendering process drew a very good response with a total of 64 tenders received from 27companies. EcoPark Phases 1 and 2, the Government's key initiative for supporting the local environmental and recycling industry, cater to a wide spectrum of the recycling industry for common recyclable materials collected in Hong Kong.
"This helps the development of the local recycling industry and is in line with the Government's continued effort in waste reduction policies," says a spokesperson from EPD.
