Take an exclusive glance at Spencer Ogden's newest home in Hong Kong

Few months after announcing its expansion in Singapore, Spencer Ogden, a global energy recruitment firm, is out once more to boost its Asian presence with the opening of its office in Hong Kong.

With its signature astro-turf floors and stylish conference rooms, Spencer Ogden Hong Kong aims to offer a therapeutic ambiance to its customers and employees by taking a detour from the traditional grey cubicles.

It features include organic round tables, brick walls, and industrial lighting. To provide a perfect balance between Asian and European concepts, Spencer Ogden Hong Kong’s design team boasts of a Chinese inspired Board Room and a London Private Club room with colonial Raffles vibe. 

Hong Kong Business Review interviewed David Spencer-Percival, Spencer Ogden Hong Kong's CEO, to know more about the office space and the inspiration behind its design.

HKB: What were the needs/requirements of Spencer Ogden for its office space in Hong Kong?

The brief was to design an open plan, high visual impact office space that was ultramodern but in keeping with the global brand rollout of Spencer Ogden. It needed to be functional but fun, and invigorating and energising for the staff whilst keeping a professional feel.

HKB: What is significant/unique about this project/design?

The project design needed to blend East and West cultures seamlessly with wit and modernity.

HKB: Please give us a brief description of the office space.

The office space is mainly open plan with astro turf floors, huge bespoke organic round tables, a 50s American diner and a warehouse approach with exposed ceilings, brick walls and industrial lighting. This is complemented with a Chinese inspired Board Room and a London Private Club room / colonial Raffles feel.
