Dining Promotions
The Venetian Macao
With Chef Mak Wai Ming at the helm, Canton, the Chinese fine-dining restaurant at The Venetian Macao, will launch a variety of special Chinese New Year dishes starting from just MOP 168* between February 7 and 24, such as fried lobster with fungus and green beans, and steamed garoupa fillet on bean curd with broad bean sauce. Diners can also savour ‘poon choi’ (Big Bowl Feast), a traditional type of Cantonese cuisine at Canton. It is served in a basin made from pumpkin and contains braised Australian 7 head abalone, sea cucumber, fish maw, goose web, dried scallop, dried oyster, tiger prawn, squid and vegetables. In addition, two types of Chinese New Year set menus starting from MOP 800* per person will be on offer. The exquisite menus feature a great selection of mouthwatering dishes including poon choi, roasted suckling pig, steamed whole spotted garoupa, braised sliced South African abalone and braised pea sprouts with crab coral.

Sands Cotai Central
From February 9 to 16, guests will be able to enjoy a wealth of à la carte and set menus and also buffets specially prepared for the celebration of the Spring Festival at Sands Cotai Central. Chinese and international restaurants such as Rice Empire, North, Southern Kitchen, Yum Cha, Lucky Express and Tastes will each launch their own specialty menus for diners to choose from. Lunch buffets at Rice Empire start from MOP 218* per adult / MOP 109* per child, and include appetizers and salads, stir-fry hot dishes, Chinese barbeque items, a live noodle cooking station and desserts. The God of Fortune will also be giving away chocolate coins and yuanbao to spread festive joy at the restaurant. Meanwhile, the Chinese New Year set dinner menu at Yum Cha is at MOP 1,088* (for three to four persons) and features a mixed cold platter with sliced abalone, steamed red garoupa with Yunnan ham and mushroom, deep-fried pigeon and braised pork leg.

Sands Macao
Led by Chef Kan Kai Wing, Golden Court at Sands Macao has established a name for itself as one of the anchor restaurants of Chinese cuisine in Macao, serving traditional and authentic Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant is launching two sets of reunion dinner menus between January 25 and February 9 and two sets of Spring Festival dinner menus between February 14 and 28. A table for 12 people starts from MOP 6,888*. The sumptuous menus offer exquisite dishes such as baked marinated chicken with rice wine casserole, steamed sea conch broth, and braised assorted air-dried seafood with vegetables. In addition, a variety of auspicious Chinese New Year dishes and dim sums will be available between February 10 and 19.

Retail Promotions
Adding to the festive atmosphere at the Cotai Strip® development will be the spectacular artwork of traditional paper-cutting on display at Shoppes Grand Canal, Shoppes Cotai Central and Shoppes at Four Seasons between January 28 and February 24. A six-metre-high wishing tree made of red paper – the biggest of its kind in Macao – will be featured at the centre of St. Mark’s Square at Shoppes Grand Canal. Shoppers who spend MOP 300 at any of the retailers across Shoppes’ three malls will be given a Lucky Message Card for them to write down their wishes to hang on the auspicious tree. Shoppers who spend MOP 8,888 will also be able to redeem an exquisite Wishing Gift Set that comes with a Chinese lucky knot, a pack of paper-cut-decorated ‘lai see’ envelopes, a golden coin and two ‘fai chun’ papers. A large selection of Shoppes retailers will also offer exciting discounts during the Spring Festival period.
And from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm between February 10 and 17, parents can bring children to the kids’ play zone Qube (The Venetian Macao) and Qube 2 (Shoppes Cotai Central) to take part in Chinese New Year arts and craft activities. The price is MOP 50 per person, excluding the entry fee to Qube.
