Hong Kong invites Vietnam to its trade fairs
In 2011, 54 Vietnamese exhibitors joined Hong Kong fairs while the number of Vietnamese trade buyers reached nearly 2,200.
Hong Kong is urging Vietnamese entrepreneurs to build their business by joining the city’s slew of year-round trade fairs.
Johnny Wan, senior exhibitions manager at the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), said showcasing products in Hong Kong was a quick way for Vietnamese small- and medium-sized enterprises to promote their brands and build business links
"To advertise Vietnamese goods to the world market, participation in Hong Kong's international trade fairs is one of the fastest route," Wan said.
HKTDC figures show that more than 10 trade commissions from Vietnam visit Hong Kong every year. In 2011, 54 Vietnamese exhibitors joined Hong Kong fairs while the number of Vietnamese trade buyers reached nearly 2,200.
Vietnamese companies have a keen interest in exhibitions, including jewelry, stationery, houseware, gifts, fashion, toys and games, electronics, medical devices and supplies, lighting and information technology.
