Hong Kong well-wishing festival obtains Mega Events Fund sponsorship

It’s the third time in a row.

The Hong Kong Well-wishing Festival 2013 at Lam Tsuen Wishing Square in Tai Po has obtained Mega Events Fund sponsorship for the third time, reflecting ways local people can capitalise on local opportunities, Acting Chief Executive Carrie Lam said.

Speaking to the media today, Mrs Lam said the event is not only for villagers, but combines tourism elements, making Hong Kong a melting pot for Eastern and Western cultures.

She said the Government is committed to upholding Hong Kong’s core values as well as developing its economy, to improve people’s livelihood. The community's concerted effort is essential to achieve this.

Mrs Lam extended her greetings to Hong Kong people , wishing them good health and happiness in the year to come.
