Hong Kongers can now visit Belarus without a visa
However, they can only stay for up to two weeks.
Hong Kong passport holders can now add one more country to their bucket list as the Immigration Department announced that Belarus is now visa-free destination provided that residents only stay for a maximum of 14 days, according to a government press release.
"Belarus is along the Belt and Road. Under the Belt and Road Initiative, this mutual visa-free arrangement would bring greater travel convenience to the travellers of Hong Kong and Belarus and strengthen the tourism, cultural and economic ties between the two places," a spokesman said.
Similarly, Belarus passport holders enjoys two-week, visa-free access to Hong Kong.
Hong Kong passport holders enjoy access to a total of 160 countries and territories.
